The Great Sylwelsa Plains

Located in the heart of Urngor, the Sylwelsa Plains sprawl across a vast expanse of rolling hills and shallow valleys. This central region is home to the nomadic Wandering Tribes, who traverse the plains with their herds, and at its center lies the Gnomish community of Vihreiden Maat, known for their deep connection to the land. Throughout the plains, numerous smaller farming communities can be found, sustaining themselves through agriculture and livestock rearing.

The Sylwelsa Plains are traversed by the Salohíl-Ar Road, a well-traveled route that was cleared in the year 1102 AS. This road serves as a vital artery, connecting the northeastern region to Viborg via the Dustgate Road, while leading southwest to Baldor via the Naagin Getave. Towards the western edge of the plains, the landscape transitions into the peculiar and enchanting forest of the Western Maw. To the south and southeast, the plains border the foothills of the majestic Spireshard Mountains, providing a striking backdrop to the vast open terrain.

On the eastern border of the Sylwelsa Plains lies the treacherous and desolate marshlands known as the Athilalarûn. This forbidding marshland poses a stark contrast to the expansive plains, its murky waters and treacherous terrain deterring most travelers. Just north of the Athilalarûn, within a distance of less than 100 miles, lies the Rautavarasto community nestled within the spiraling citadel of Obelisk Torjof. The presence of the Rautavarasto adds a touch of mystery and intrigue to the region, with their technological prowess and enigmatic ways.

The Sylwelsa Plains, with its wide open spaces, nomadic tribes, and diverse ecosystems, showcase the natural beauty and variety of Urngor. The interplay of the plains with the surrounding geographical features creates a captivating landscape that is both inviting and challenging to those who venture into its vast expanse.
