Storms of Anaias

The Firstborn Nations

The Forge Undying brought her smithing and engineering skills to the creation of the Dwarves. These would be divided among two varieties. The first, she named Rautavarasto, who would be talented in the crafts of the forge and the art of innovation. The other she named the Kupari, who would have desires for the collection and archive of all knowledge. She found them wondrous and wonderful, blessing them in their days with success and challenge.

The Refracted Eye sought the beauty and artistry of a simple life, bringing about the Gnomes. These folk would value the hard labor of back and brow in their fields and homesteads, the joy of ingenuity in problem solving for their needs, the celebration of the cycle of days of harvest and of rest. They would be inspired in the creation of art, culinary delight, and crafted storytelling. They would be gracious in hosting and humble in the service of others. In his satisfaction with the Gnomish people, he blessed them with green fields, hardy animals, and inspired joy.

The Vexation Undone granted life to the physical elemental essences that had formed the world in the Elves. Each of the Elves would be bound to a single physical essence of either stone, water, wind, or flame. The firstborn of each element would come to lead nations under their banner, those nations taking the name of their founders.

From the Stone of Ya, the elemental essence of stone, came the humble warrior Kerym ath Nar, the Sword of Ya; his nation would become the Nar Tirith, the Stone Towers, blessed with the essence of the Stone of Ya and charged with the protection of the lands. From the Stone of Vi, the elemental essence of water, came the druidic naturalist Fhaor Hinue ath Alus, the Song of Vi; her nation would become the Alus Soeh, the Dwellers of the Streams, blessed with the essence of the Stone of Vi and charged with the protection of the waters, healing of the sick and injured. From the Stone of Oh, the element essence of wind, came the contemplative monk Suor Arrn ath Keth, the Storm of Oh; his nation would become the Keth, the Wind Walkers, blessed with the essence of the Stone of Oh and charged with the protection of the breath of life, knowing the weather of the wilds. From the Stone of Ful, the elemental essence of flame, came the darting ranger Daoin ath Usckeche, the Star of Ful; her nation would become the Usckeche, the Wardens of the Flame, blessed with the essence of the Stone of Ful and charged with wandering the lands of the world, protecting balance and supporting peoples as needed.

The Pariah Feint brought Humans into the world, granting the powers of choice and versatility, of unity and divergence, of law and chaos, into living form. Humans came to the lands of great plains and grasslands, to the foothills and plateaus of the mountains, to the floors of verdant forests, the sandy coastlines with azure and jade shores. As they rose, he formed them with traits according to their domain, bringing a nearly chaotic diversity among their kind. Unlike the other members of the Foundry that had brought life, he withheld the blessing of any of the Mana Stones, allowing the chaos and potential of their being to take root unaffected, offering instead for the other members of the Foundry to contribute to their formation.

The Courier Enshrouded quietly interfered in their forming, breathing cunning and stealth into their being. The Forge Undying imbued them with strength and resolve. The Refracted Eye infused their being with constitution and compassion. The Vexation Undone contributed to their sense of intellect and curiosity. Lastly, the Primordial Sage infused their form with compassion and contemplative wisdom. With these attributes complete, Humanity stepped into the world.

The final creation of the grand experiment was the living forces of balance and representing the Influences of the Foundry, beings that would come to be known as the Highlords.
