Strength of the Iron Tomes
Hailing from the halls of the Burdin Erreserbak, the great laboratory-workshop at the heart of the Dwarven city of of Ornzar Kjior, Stamm Bladecaster spent the first few decades of his life in the study of the ways of martial prowess and weapons of war. He had earned the title of Artisan through developing the forge technology that allowed for the production of melee weapon blades layered in such a way to maintain a keen edge without sacrificing durability, a problem which had plagued blacksmiths for countless years.
Although bestowed with a title held in moderate prestige among his people, Stamm felt his accomplishments weighed little against the needs of the peoples of Urngor or the tide of history. He set out from his modest home to journey to other Dwarven citadels in hopes of furthering his trade, wishing to reach the heralded title of Adept. While visiting the blacksmiths of , he became plagued with horrible dreams during the night: visions of terrible destruction, rampant loss of life, and war against an unyielding darkness.
Stamm had heard of the consequences that had befallen the peoples of Urngor nearest to the ranges of the Hlavor Zana after the destruction of the peaks of the Forge-Mountain from volcanic eruption, but the protected towers of Ornzar Kjior had prevented the devastation by the mana surges from reaching its citizens. Many expeditions of aid had been sent from the city, but Stamm had not joined those parties and had little knowledge of the scale of destruction suffered by the communities of Anaias. His fitful sleep was visited by the ghostly visage of Theron pleasing for Stamm to join the perilous quest to undo the harm caused by the sundered Gray Lord. Seeing this as an opportunity to ply his trade and studies, Stamm agreed, strapping one of his newly engineered great-axes to his back as he set off.
